ORLANDO, FL. / March 7, 2025 — NUC University Florida Technical College (NUC FTC) proudly announces that its president, Dr. James Michael Burkett, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Eagle Award for Corporate Engagement Recognition by the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida (AACCCF). This distinguished honor recognizes NUC FTC’s commitment to supporting small businesses and fostering economic growth in Central Florida.

NUC FTC has been a strong advocate for workforce development, working closely with local businesses and entrepreneurs to provide essential skills training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Beyond its educational mission, NUC FTC faculty and staff contribute more than 700 hours of community service annually, supporting efforts that drive economic mobility and business success. The institution also serves as a trustee of the AACCCF, alongside other key chambers across Florida, and actively participates in councils and summits focused on leadership and workforce advancement.
