December 18, 2024 Orlando, FL —From photos with Santa to holiday tunes, games, crafts, and other seasonal activities, those in attendance at Florida Technical College’s Winter Festival event on Saturday, December 7th were treated to plenty of celebratory cheer.
The Winter Festival took place at 7 FTC locations: Kissimmee, Lakeland, Pembroke Pines, Orlando, FTC DeLand, FTC South Miami, and FTC Tampa. Highlights of the community-wide event included:
- Debut of FTC’s Mascot: TORO the Bull Shark made his grand debut! He swam over to the Kissimmee campus and made big waves with students and families.
- Tampa Campus Milestone: This year marked the first Winter Festival held at the Tampa campus, following its relocation to a new, expanded location earlier this year.
- Partnership Activations: The festival also featured activations from our valued sports partnerships:

- Tampa Bay Rays at the Tampa campus
- Orlando Magic at the Orlando campus
- Miami Dolphins at the South Miami campus
NUC-FTC has served the Florida community for more than 40 years through career-focused education, and has grown to add locations throughout the state, including Deland, Kissimmee, Orlando, Lakeland, South Miami, Pembroke Pines, Tampa, and South Florida.
