Reaching the professional level in sports I participated in.

What do you love about your job?

The smiles on my students face when they graduate.

Briefly describe your background/journey.

Born in a third world country (Nicaragua) arrived in the U.S. at 7 yrs old, raised by my aunt and uncle.  Earned an athletic scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University where I played Football and Baseball.  Graduated with my BA in Public Relations/Communications.  Played professional sports (football/Baseball) and later became and The Executive Sports Director for ABC in Tampa where I was nominated for an Emmy Award.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new student considering making a change?

Don’t allow fear to hold you back, you can achieve great things by taking your first step.
