NUC University Florida Technical College Receives 2025 Paoli Award for Best University
The honor highlights excellence in education, innovation, and community impact.
NUC University Florida Technical College is proud to announce that it has been awarded the 2025 Paoli Award for Best University, a distinguished recognition that honors institutions for their excellence in education, innovation, and commitment to community service. The award was presented during the Premios Paoli Gala, held recently in Orlando.
Accepting the award on behalf of the institution was Sharon Rigaud, Vice President of Student Financial Services, “The Paoli Award for Best University is a testament to the commitment of our entire educational community. At NUC University Florida Technical College, excellence isn’t our goal, it’s our starting point. This recognition also belongs to our students and to every family that has entrusted us with their future.”
Rigaud was joined by a delegation of university executives who proudly represented the institution, including leadership from various campuses and departments.
Founded in Puerto Rico in 1983, Premios Paoli has been honoring outstanding achievements for over four decades. While the awards originally focused on recognizing top professionals in music, television, radio, fashion, and beauty, the organization has since expanded its mission to include achievements in education and community service. With its second hub now firmly established in Orlando, Premios Paoli continues to spotlight individuals and institutions that are making meaningful contributions across industries.
Hispanic Community Champion 2022 Don Quijote Awards
Florida Technical College, through the leadership of Dr. James Michael Burkett, is being recognized as Hispanic Community Champion in 2022.
FAPSC 2020 Institution of the Year, 2020
The Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges named Florida Technical College the 2020 Institution of the Year.
